We are thrilled to announce that Cassy Ciantar and Liza Page have accepted our offer to step into the
role of Co-Principals at Jabiru Community College.

Cassy and Liza will both spend time at the college during the final weeks of this term meeting
students, families, caregivers and of course staff and board members. During this time Cassy and Liza will also be working closely with our current Leadership Team (Frances Missen, David Powell, Jake MacDarragh and Lisa Bridle) to ensure a smooth transition. Frances and David will finish their work at the college on December 20th.

The College Leadership Team and the College Board are excited to have this opportunity to support Cassy and Liza into the roles. Cassy and Liza bring a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge that we are sure will be a significant benefit to the college community. Their collaborative styles of leadership, values and vision will be instrumental in guiding JCC as we pursue our mission of delivering “affirming, inspiring and quality learning that centres young people”.

Cassy is a proud Aboriginal Woman from the Quandamooka People of Minjerribah. She is also a
professional, experienced, and hard-working Social Worker with experience in engaging and working
with vulnerable members of the community in educational and community-based organisations.
Cassy strongly values working with people to assist them to work towards their self-determined
goals.

Liza is a highly regarded educational leader, with many years experience in teaching and Principal
roles in other Special Assistance Schools. Liza strongly values collaboration and integrity and is
committed to working hard to achieve high level outcomes for all community members. Liza is
passionate about the Big Picture Learning Design and is excited at the opportunity to help JCC further
develop it.

We are confident that under their leadership, Jabiru Community College will continue to thrive and
innovate. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Cassy and Liza.
